Illinois Attorney General Approves Kroger's Asbestos Remediation Plan

As per the regional radio news, the Attorney General of Illinois has approved the Taylorville Kroger store's asbestos remediation plan. And now, after the approval, the work is expected to get started by Monday.

The upcoming news was shared this morning by Taylorville Mayor Bruce Barry.

The report suggests the store was closed on 29th of September and it was also found that asbestos had gotten in the outside of a containment area. 

After the disclosure, an asbestos abatement company was hired to remove all the contents of the hazardous mineral.

As per the latest news, The 37th annual Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce kicked off Saturday morning on the Square. 

It was also learnt that Boy Scout Troop 68, Cub Scout Packs 68 and 132, and Troop 132, presented the colors on the stage.

In the meanwhile, National Anthem, who's the Taylorville High School Alumni Choir chose to perform the National Anthem under the direction of Keith Chase.

Taylorville mayor Bruce Barry is known to have presented  grand welcome to all those people who chose to attend the mega Chillifest.

The Miller Media Group along with BNG Administrative Services are recognizing a local business every month for their “Business of the Month.”  

This month, Designed with Detail, at 602 East Park Street, has been recognized. The business, run by Charlee Kocurek and Cheryl Morman, was recognized with a certificate.
